Interesting facts about Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

  • Director Sam Mendes may now be best known for the 2012 Bond film “Skyfall”, but he was a major force on the stage before that, successfully bringing Cabaret and Oliver to the West End in 1994. We think this may be the reason the Dahl estate finally authorised a stage version of the show.
