Interesting facts about Aladdin

  • Jonathan Freeman who voiced Jafar in the film, has played the same role on stage since Aladdin the musical began.
  • Aladdin is based on an ancient folk story from the Middle East. The tale is famously a part of ‘Arabian Nights’, a compendium of Asian folk law, but was actually added to the book by a Frenchman in the 18th Century.
  • The 1992 Disney film Aladdin was part of a series of successful Disney animations including Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. This era is known as the Disney Renaissance.

Disney recommends ALADDIN for ages 6 and up. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted into the theatre.
