About the show

Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a play with music starring multi award winning Pixie Lott is coming to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London’s West End in June 2016 following a national tour.
This classic tale written by Truman Capote in 1958 and made famous by the 1961 film version starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard, tells the story of café society girl Holly Golightly told through the eyes of a young writer whom Holly names `Fred’ after her older brother. The two are both tenants in a New York apartment building in 1943. Holly is a country girl, without a job but lives by socializing with wealthy men who take her out to restaurants and clubs, giving her money and buying her expensive presents. Her plan is to eventually marry one of them. Fred becomes fascinated by this vivacious character with her tales of her New York lifestyle and her strange views on various topics. As the play’s tag-line goes, Holly Golightly is the character, “every woman wants to be and every man wants to be with.”

Pixie Lott seems to have found her era in the 1940s, impressing at the VE Day 70: A Party to Remember concert on Horse Guards Parade, London in May and currently on a national tour in a production of Puttin’on the Ritz, singing and dancing through the songs of George Gershwin, Irvin Berlin and Cole Porter.
