Adapted from TS Eliot’s 1939 book “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats”, and with music from the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber, CATS has become one of the most iconic and well-known musicals of all-time - not to mention one of our best-selling theatre breaks! Cats theatre breaks are now available to book for the show's return the world famous London Palladium. Featuring such famous songs as “Memory”, CATS tells the tale of a feline tribe known as the Jellicles. They meet for the Jellicle Ball, hoping their wise leader Old Deuteronomy will select them for the Heaviside Layer and rebirth into a brand new Jellicle life, bringing about a night of mystery, romance and drama like no other…

Interesting facts about Cats

  • CATS played continuously at the New London Theatre in the West End (current home of War Horse) for 21 years – then a record for any show in London. Its 18 year run in Broadway is the second longest there, while production have appeared in over 300 cities in 26 countries, translated into at least 10 different languages!
  • CATS will return to the West End for the first time in over a decade after a superb UK tour
  • Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats was first put to music in 1954 by English composer Alan Rawsthorne. The recorded version stars Robert Donat, an actor most famous for his role in The 39 Steps. An adaptation of The 39 Steps is also currently running in the West End.
