I Can’t Sing! Is the brand new musical about The X Factor. Written by the award-winning comedian Harry Hill, the show is set to feature a talking dog, a singing hunchback and a man in an iron lung. The spoof musical will be a joy to both fans and sceptics of the TV show and promises to take a cheeky look at both the backstage drama, and the clash of egos at the judge’s table.

Taking its name from one of the funniest songs in the show, I Can’t Sing! theatre breaks will have you rolling in the aisles. Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh will both feature as judges, and with Cowell reportedly backing the show “4500%”, saying its “one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen” - if it can crack a smile on his face, it’ll certainly crack a smile on yours!

Interesting facts about I Can't Sing! The X Factor Musical

  • Director Sean Foley has worked on The Ladykillers, Pinter’s People, and will be directing Jeeves and Wooster featuring Stephen Mangan and Matthew Macfadyen just before beginning work on I Can’t Sing!
  • Writer Harry Hill is a former medical doctor and is to this day a Registered Medical Practitioner. He trained at the University of London in neurosurgery
  • Despite sending him up, Simon Cowell’s production company, Syco Entertainment, is co-producing the show
