Jeeves and Wooster

Jeeves and Wooster Theatre breaks

About the show

Jeeves & Wooster were the quintessential class-based English double act of legendary writer P.G. Wodehouse’s imagination. Featuring in 46 short stories and novels, the mishaps of the bumbling aristocrat Bertie Wooster and his long-suffering valet Reginald Jeeves entertained readers for decades.

Now the story of Jeeves and Wooster transfers to the stage in the play “Perfect Nonsense”. Starring James Lance as Wooster and John Gordon Sinclair as Jeeves, the hapless Bertie must successfully arrange (no doubt with Jeeves’ help) the nuptials of his posh friend’s daughter Madeline to Gussie, who seems to prefer reptiles to people. And if not…Bertie must marry her instead – what ho!

What to expect from Jeeves and Wooster

“Perfect Nonsense” has the blessing of the Wodehouse estate, ensuring that the riotous comedy that was the hallmark of the books will be transferred to the stage. The setting may be an England that no longer exists – if it ever did – but the razor-sharp dialogue between two of the finest comedic actors of the present day makes feel every bit the modern evening.

If an evening of comedy tickles your fancy, there could be no better choice than a Jeeves and Wooster theatre break. We’ll ensure your break incorporates not only a rip-roaring night at the theatre but also a stay at a great London hotel, saving you both time and money, so that all you need to do is start looking forward to the show!
