In The Heights has long been in discussions for a movie – long overdue in our opinion – though nothing has surfaced yet.

The writer, Lin-Manuel Miranda, actually wrote the first version of the show while at university.

Washington Heights is a neighbourhood of New York, bordered by Inwood to the north and Harlem to the south.
