This classic and colossal rock opera, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Lyrics by Tim Rice, will be dazzling audiences at the Edinburgh Playhouse in April 2015. This grand spectacle is an exquisite blend of contemporary sentiments and biblical legend.   

You can expect to see huge dramatic renditions of the famous musical scores, with superbly choreographed dance on a grand scale. The show itself originated as a concept album that told the story of the last weeks of Jesus Christ’s life from an alternative point of view. In the show, the humanisation of Jesus and the development of interpersonal relationships between the characters are built on top of the biblical story.
