Sweet Bird of Youth Theatre breaks

About the show

Written by the American playwright Tennessee Williams in 1959, Sweet Bird of Youth once again appears in London’s West End. It tells the story of Chance, a drifter who is seeking to win back the affections of Heavenly, and Alexandra, an intemperate movie star fleeing the awful reviews of her doomed comeback movie.

Mutually embittered at the death of their youthful hopes and dreams, their relationship of convenience takes them to Florida, the home of Heavenly – whereupon the ghosts of those lost dreams threatens to wreck everything…
