The Full Monty

The Full Monty Theatre breaks

About the show

The Full Monty originated as one of the most successful British films of the 1990s and was met with critical acclaim as well as box office triumph. Now, The Full Monty musical is treading the boards at the Noel Coward, one of London’s most prodigious theatres.

This instant hit of a musical, set in the 1980s, follows the story of 6 unemployed steel workers from Sheffield who are faced with no hope of reemployment. From the misery of their predicament develops a banter-filled camaraderie as they aim to stage a Chippendales style strip show for the local ladies. This project begins with a desire to earn money, dignity and respect and ultimately leads to the moment where they must do The Fully Monty.

The Full Monty theatre breaks are sure to be packed with lots of gags, songs and skin!

What to expect from The Full Monty

The historical context and geographical location of the musical strongly influences the overall feel of the show; expect Thatcher, unemployment and Sheffield to be the material for much of this show’s superb comedy. However, you can also expect a strangely glitzy combination of dance, music and stripping, that is expertly juxtaposed with the grimy backdrop. The Full Monty includes songs from Donna Summer, Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones.
