The third play in The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s residency at London’s Garrick Theatre and one that will be a very popular West End theatre break in 2016 is Sean Foley’s adaptation of The Painkiller by Francis Veber. It is the tale of two men, each in a lonely hotel room with an adjoining door. One of them is a killer and one of them wants to die. What could possibly go wrong?
Other plays in the season include Harlequinade, Romeo and Juliet, The Winter's Tale and The Entertainer.
A comic tour-de-force directed by Foley himself is a darkly hilarious adaptation of this classic French farce with Kenneth Branagh and Rob Brydon as our two protagonists
